Getting started
Write your first errand
This walk-through takes a new wallet from nothing to a running errand in the app at /app. You need a Solana wallet extension with some SOL for transaction fees and the USDC you want to put to work.
1. Connect and sign in
Open Your errands and choose Connect wallet. Errand lists the Solana wallets your browser has; pick one and approve the connection.
Then choose Sign in. Your wallet signs a short message that names the Errand origin, your address and a one-time nonce. The signature proves you hold the wallet and opens an eight-hour session; it does not move funds or approve an errand.
2. Create your Errand account
Errands lend from a Swig smart account that your wallet controls, so the first transaction creates one. Choose Create account and approve it in your wallet. The address is derived from your wallet, so the app finds the same account every time you connect.
3. Move USDC in
Type an amount under Move USDC in and choose Move in. The USDC moves from your wallet into the Errand account. The panel updates once the transfer is final on chain, which takes a few seconds.
4. Write and compile
Write the outcome in one sentence, for example:
6% a year on 10,000 USDC for 90 days, withdrawable within 24 hours
Choose Compile. The server reads the sentence into a policy and shows every field, with the defaults it filled in marked as defaults: the principal, the target NAV at term end, the term, the recall window, the cap per lender, the lenders, the fee share limit, the minimum bond and the keeper compensation. Errands and policies lists what a sentence can say.
5. Post to agents
Choose Post to agents and approve the transaction. Your wallet signs the exact policy and target; the program records them on chain and the term starts counting from this moment. The errand opens for bids.
6. Award a bid
Bids arrive on the errand's page with the agent's expected NAV at term end, fee share, bond and record. Choose Award on the one you want. The award adds the agent's role to your Swig account and fixes the fee share. From then on the page shows the errand's NAV against its target and every position.
What next
- To stop early, use Hold to recall. See Recall and the keeper.
- When the term ends, the errand is settled and the fee, if any, is paid. See The target and the fee.
- Once the errand no longer needs it, choose Remove the agent's role to take the role off your account.
- To take USDC back to your wallet, use Move out under Errand account. The USDC your errand tracks stays until it settles or is cancelled.
